DEVELOPING VALUES SYSTEM(D.V.S)
The economic challenges have turned children to bread winners, parents spending more time to make money than to share quality time with their children. The positivity of social media and other avenues where the youth can obtain good information is abused to the extent where the negativity is overriding the positive.
As a youth focus NGO that believes in the holistic development of the youth, we believe these issues can be dealt with at the roots by getting closer to the youth within the age bracket, to interact with them and guide them to develop a positive mindset and give them access to the right source of information as and when needed. We have therefore joined hands with The Director of Education for Ayawaso Central, the student Guidance and Counseling Unit and other Stakeholders to embark on this mentoring project. The mentoring will be peer to peer, Counselor to Student, yet there is a Class Mentoring- Abavanna Cluster of Schools

CONCEPT ON CAMPUS CONNEKT Initiative(CCI)
This project aims at educating the youth on the importance of values. The focus is on students at the High School level. With the high influence from peers, social media and other factors, values and morality is losing its importance among the youth, especially the youth in Ghana and it is detrimental to the next generation.
The world is now a global village where a person does not need to move to a certain geographical area to learn their culture, values etc. We are in an era where the family tree is now nuclear than extended. Children are no longer raised by the community but by parents. Gone are the days where children were disciplined by every concerned adult when one is going astray without qualms. The youth have one desire and that has become the only driving force and that is to make riches whatever way possible. As much as we need our youth to prosper, we need them to enrich themselves the right way without sacrificing their morals or at the detriment of another. The days where the youth rise for the good of the country, community is slowly dying. Patriotism is slowly fading, values like honesty, discipline, patience, integrity and so on are not held in high esteem like it should compared to years ago. There is a need to address the concerns above at the roots. This has compelled the Elite Mentoring Program and National Youth Authority to come together with a common goal to create awareness and instill our values in our youth. To make them more patriotic and develop their skillset the right way and with the right principles for national development. To educate the young ones on how to derive the positive elements from the global world with good judgement.
It is often said that the youth are the future leaders of every nation but a nation that does not invest in its youth has no future, and there is no better way to invest in our youth than to enrich them with our values. To protect the heritage won for us through the blood and toil of our forefathers, to be devoted and unite to uphold the good name of our nation- West African Senior High School.
